Client Blog: Passages From India - Part II

Our good friend Nikhil – a travel specialist for Western and Oriental – is an expert on his homeland, India, from where he sent us a fantastic travel report late last year.

Now there’s a sequel. Over to him…

‘In December I went on a journey through remote Rajasthan. I spent almost 15 years and did most of my schooling there. I have been to this colourful part of India many times (nearly one hundred, other than spending my childhood and school time), yet on this trip I was able to find some hidden treasures.

They included the area around Jawai Dam which is unique due to the coexistence of humans and leopards side by side without any specified boundaries. The rock formations and boulders give the area a very pretty setting and I was able to spot a leopard. What more could I ask for.

Visiting Jawai with Sujan Luxury offers luxurious tents, a lovely pool, gourmet dining and top class service with a smile in the middle of nowhere. I have many clients who have stayed since its opening earlier in the year and many more who will be travelling soon.

In September, I stayed at the Iconic Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai for 3 nights, followed by the largest palace hotel in the world (Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur) and concluding with Falaknuma Palace Hyderabad.

I loved the street food of Mumbai and Jodhpur and the Biryani in Hyderabad. That was a dish I was able to serve the general manager of Falaknuma Palace when he visited me!’
