Borgo Egnazia, Puglia, Italy

November 8, 2016

Perched right on the south eastern coast, the heel of the Italian boot, overlooking the stunning azure Adriatic Sea, Puglia is a region graced by all the delights of Italy’s stunning natural beauty and enviable climate without the heaving crowds.

Nestled between the historic olive grove covered-foothills of the Valle d’Itria and the beach, Borgo Egnazia resort encompasses a luxurious main hotel, traditional Apulian village and private villas to suit all manner of accommodation needs.

Borgo Egnazia’s central location makes it the perfect base to indulge your cultural side and easily explore the region’s history; Baroque architecture, caves, Neolithic sites, and stunning traditional hilltop villages are all within easy reach.

The main hotel, La Corte, offers a variety of restaurants and bars, two outdoor and one indoor swimming pool and a spa inspired by the Roman bath houses of old. Half- and full-board supplements are available, and the most spectacular part of the complex is the traditional village of lively bars and restaurants as well as a cooking school.

Borgo Egnazia caters for children of all ages, and the Borgo village includes a kids' heated pool and an adventure playground.

The San Domenico Golf course is part of the estate and offers an 18-hole championship golf course green with a horizon down to the traditional fishing village of Savelletri, and a beach club with an additional bar/restaurant and an array of water sports.

Created using traditional craftsmanship and successfully combining ancient with modern, Borgo Egnazia is proud to be a testament to Apulian architecture, with fantastic attention to detail and effort made to blend into the surroundings.

Though just five years in the making, Borgo Egnazia is now considered one of the leading luxury family, golf and spa experiences in the Mediterranean.
