But now it's expanding. The “new” Betsy - South Beach will comprise the current Ocean Drive arrival building, the Colonial Wing, and the fully renovated, Carlton Hotel, the Art Deco Wing.
The buildings are joined by a bridge with serious architectural flair.
This will add 70 rooms and suites to the existing 58, and a rooftop pool which will provide unobstructed 360-degree views of the ocean, the Art Deco District and the Miami skyline.
The Conservatory, a vibrant venue for arts and culture with an espresso bar, the Atrium, a beautiful courtyard featuring a performance stage and the Gallery, a new meeting space with floor to ceiling windows add additional lounge and event space for guests.
