Bermuda comes to Farringdon

Julie and I were invited to attend an evening on the wonderful destination of Bermuda with Shubhra Halliday from Prestige Holidays and Melanie Lathan from The Hamilton Princess Hotel.

The event was held at the Vinoteca Restaurant and Bar in Farringdon, London, and the team laid out the most wonderful array of canapes - from salted almonds to Scottish smoked salmon and copious amounts of Prosecco.

We were presented with a very interesting talk from Melanie about Bermuda and The Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel.

A seven hour flight from the UK with British Airways, Bermuda is a year-round destination. The island is 21 square miles in the Atlantic Ocean and has something for all ages, including water sports, deep sea fishing, horseback riding and incredible golf courses.

The Fairmont Hamilton Princess has 157 newly renovated rooms, including guest rooms, suites and access to the luxurious Fairmont Gold Wing. Fairmont Gold offers exclusive amenities, lounges and dedicated staff to attend those rooms specially.

The hotel is home to world-renowned restaurant, Marcus, as well as the 1609 beach club bar and restaurant and the Crown and Anchor, a more relaxed traditional dining experience.

The hotel offers a children’s club for those aged 5 to 12 years, with plenty of activities and the evenings are never dull - with live bands, DJ’s and fire dancers as regular visitors.

Last of all, the fabulous spa was designed for guest relaxation and pure indulgence.

The destination is a perfect alternative to places such as Dubai, where the summer months can see the temperature reach unbearable levels.

Bermuda may be a destination to consider when looking for luxury on a beautiful island with great safety records and ease of getting around… even the local buses are air-conditioned.

A massive thank you to The Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel and Prestige Holidays for a fantastic evening.
