I have worked in travel since I was 17, and been with Abbotts Travel since 2000. Since having my son, I now work three days a week.
The role and service we provide has changed a lot over the years but it's still the greatest feeling when someone pops in and says thank you for helping them create special memories.
Where I’ve Been
I've been very lucky to travel in the Caribbean: Barbados several times, Tobago and all of the Virgin Islands.
I have seen and loved a lot of South Africa, and was lucky enough to visit the island of Mauritius.
Florida was very enjoyable (Orlando, Disney and Miami), while the South of France, especially Cannes and Saint-Tropez, really impressed.
I have also been to the Greek Islands of Kos, Zante and Crete; and recently had the pleasure of experiencing Girona at the wonderful Hotel Camiral.
Jamaica is still on the wishlist.
My real passion is the culture, food, people and lifestyle of the Caribbean, but I also adore Turkey.
I have toured from Istanbul down to the beach resorts including Belek, but Kaş and Kalkan were best as I consider them to still be very Turkish.
Most Embarrassing Travel Experience?
I went on an educational to British Virgin Islands and on arrival to Beef Island passport control realised I had packed my passport in my suitcase. Fortunately the lovely passport control man liked me and let me in. Luckily as I was on business and holding up the group!
