Thank you for your efforts with helping arrange our recent North American trip.
It all went very smoothly, for which we are most grateful to you and Abbotts, although I can't give you all the credit for the fact that all three flights and the Toronto-Ottawa train journey ran to time.
All three hotels were fit for purpose, but we especially liked the Willows in Chicago; not especially smart, but cosy and characterful with long-serving and helpful staff. It's someway north of downtown but there is easy access via the 'El' and it is just a few minutes' walk from Lincoln Park and the lakeshore, one of the reasons I chose it.
We already know and like Ottawa; and Toronto, which I know less well, has some first class museums and galleries.
I'd forgotten what a beautiful city Chicago is, very probably the finest architectural ensemble in the country. Also the people we encountered were generally courteous and helpful.
