Villa Le Barone has 28 individually decorated rooms: each of them has a unique character, with antique furniture, old prints on the walls, pretty fabrics and brightly-coloured spreads and terracotta floors. Some also have rafters and beams.
Rooms are in the Main Villa or in renovated cottages and barns, several of which have their own terrace. Each room is provided with a minibar, air conditioning, safe, Wi-Fi, internet access and TV on request. Fresh flowers or fresh seasonal fruits are offered in every room.
There is a new infinity heated salt water pool covered with Travertine marble, set on a rose garden terrace looking over the vineyards; a tennis court with a beautiful view on the Chianti hill, a fitness room and a fitness trail.
Dinner is served in the restaurant in the old winery or in the terrace (weather permitting). It is a typical Tuscan affair, composed of self-service ‘antipasti’, then choice of dishes for the 3 following courses. You will be also able to enjoy a large variety of Italian cheeses, and to appreciate the Chianti Classico wines, specially selected. Dishes are prepared with local and fresh products.
There is an 18-hole golf course in the vicinity. Tours and excursions can be planned, to beautiful Chianti and Tuscany: visits to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano with qualified guides, historical gardens in the vicinity of Florence and Siena, painting courses, cooking courses, wine tastings, accompanied tours plus biking and hiking.
Closer to Villa Le Barone, other smaller cities are worth visiting for their atmosphere and architecture, such as Lamole, Castellina, Montefioralle or Greve (hometown of Mona Lisa, the model of Leonardo Da Vinci and of Giovanni Da Verrazzano, who discovered New York's Hudson Bay).
The property covers several hectares and is set in a protected natural environment with views of the Tuscan rolling hills. The large grounds feature beautiful rose gardens, centennial chestnut trees, Mediterranean plants and numerous flowerbeds that bloom throughout the seasons.
