I was so lucky to be included here, thanks to an invite from ITC Luxury Travel and our hosts for the four-night trip, Pink Sands Club.
After a Virgin Atlantic flight to Barbados we took a short hop on SVG Air to the tiny island of Canouan, in the Grenadines.
It's mountainous, rustic and beautiful, with Pink Sands Club's 32 suites and four luxury villas occupying half of it.
The management team, Andreas, David and Michael gave us a warm welcome and arranged for each of us to be shown to our luxurious suites.
My first impressions: perfection, with no detail overlooked, from a Nespresso coffee maker and beautiful furniture to stunning views of powder white sands, turquoise ocean and flamingo-coloured beach umbrellas a stone's throw away from my room.

Our tour of the resort required golf buggies (which we all took turns at) and took in the luxury spa, the 18-hole golf course with resident pro Kevin, and the super fun kiddies club where the fun loving staff work hard for the younger guests, who can have fun in the splash pool, outdoor adventure play area, enjoy the games consoles or even learn how to bake cookies.
What I loved most about the resort was that the entire team strives to know their guests on a personal level.
Breakfast is a great example - Jennifer and Feiona quickly got to know our names and the "Morning Mrs. Gooding, your Earl Grey is on its way" is a great way of making you feel special.
The spa treatments were simply superb and so relaxing, while dining options provide brilliant versatility, from the fine dining available at Juliet to the fusion-inspired Romeo restaurant and the beach house-style Lagoon Café where you can try Caribbean classics and local catches of the day.
All this shaped something truly memorable, an experience of a resort run to the highest possible standards.
