I am addicted to travel because it broadens your horizons, provides the best possible education and opens doors for everyone.

I am always gaining knowledge and training, and just want to pass my knowledge and enthusiasm onto my clients.

I've had some fantastic experiences since starting in the industry in 1992, following in the footsteps of my mum. I joined Abbotts Travel in 2008.

Where I’ve Been

New York is vibrant, edgy and fun. Visit once and you will keep returning.

Fantastic wildlife makes Kenya a true outdoor experience, while a balloon trip over the Masai Mara at dawn, with champagne breakfast, is truly magical.

St Lucia is the most captivating, lush, green Caribbean island, with pampering spas and boutique-style properties.

Culture junkies will find Rome a little slice of heaven, stumbling across amazing treasures on every corner.

Favourite Places

I have been lucky enough to be invited on some fantastic educational trips, including Dubai, Tenerife, Barbados, St Lucia and Canada, which led to me joining the Canada Tourist Commission's specialist programme.

In May 2015 I went for the first time to Central and Northern Australia, which was fantastic.

I love to visit Cyprus where the beaches are beautiful and the locals are warm and friendly. I also adore Portugal with its isolated spots, stunning fishing villages and excellent choice of restaurants and nightlife.

Then comes the Caribbean. Each island has something different, from Jamaica’s upbeat culture to Barbados with its superb hotels and top class restaurants. I also highly recommend the beautiful Grenadines.

My educational trip to South Africa was a highlight, including a safari on the Eastern Cape, and an 800-mile journey across the Garden Route.

Most Embarrassing Travel Experience?

Beginners skiing trip. I was 21, and not a good student. I went so fast down the slope the instructor shouted “someone stop her!” and I went crashing into a crowd of little ones.

Your One Luxury When You Travel?

Has to be a spa treatment. After working long hours and running a home, it really is a little piece of heaven.

Best Piece of Travel Advice?

Always do a little research. Buy a Lonely Planet guide to beat queues and find suggestions for walking tours and when to see the best sunsets.
