It was a delight for Carly and I to be invited, along with a select group of travel comrades, to the superbly elegant, Russian-themed restaurant, Bob Bob Ricard.
Our hosts were our top ski operator, Ski independence, and the lovely Jen from Vail Tourism.
Vail is a popular resort in Colorado and it comes with innovation and luxury: super-modern ski lifts and a great choice of hotels and condos.
A great presentation on the area also covered the climate (300 days of sunshine) and quality of snow (30ft of dry fluffy powder snow, on average), plus the amazing après-ski scene.
The après was equally great for us on the night: oysters, caviar and the best macaroni cheese I have ever tasted. Not to mention the Champagne – for refills, you only had to ring the bell!
We love Ski Independence with their flexibility and the knowledge of their incredibly passionate staff.
