September is a huge month for us in the travel industry – it's the time to introduce products for the coming year and, after a whirlwind start to it we were invited to attend two events from two of our favourite suppliers.
First up it was our friends at If Only. They specialise in Arabia, the Far East, the Indian Ocean and sub-continent.
And, as we discovered that in response to demand, they are adding Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
They were accompanied by updates from luxury suppliers such as Emirates Airlines and the beautiful One & Only Hayman Island resort in the Great Barrier Reef.
The new brochure is and sits perfectly on our shelves. Please visit us and take one away. Thanks to Neil Sealy for a warm welcome.
Days later we head to Hylands House in Chelmsford for an event best described as matching its supplier: prestige.
Our hosts were Shubhra and her team from Prestige Holidays, one of our favourite luxury suppliers for Europe and further afield.
They assembled a few luxury hoteliers and representatives to impress us.
They included the Bermuda Tourist Authority, who showcased their distinctive island getaway and its unique mix of British charm and Caribbean island soul. With similar seasons to us in the UK make this a great option for a family summer holiday or romantic summer honeymoon.
The Madeira Tourist Board introduced their amazing little gem of an island with refined charm and hospitality. It's bathed in the warm climate of the Atlantic Ocean, so this is a delightful year-round destination.
Antonio from the islands 5-star Royal Savoy Hotel showed us around his stunning premium ocean front, all suite, luxurious venue.
In the Canary Islands we found out that one of our best-selling properties, the Hotel Jardines de Nivaria, will reopen in early October 2016 after a renovation.
Finally, it was good to know that in Lanzarote on the Playa Blanca, the ever-popular Princesa Yaiza remains a classic.
Thanks to Shubhra and everyone who gave their time to make this such a lovely evening.
