First Look: A taste of New Zealand luxury lodges

This land has a nickname: Mother Nature’s masterpiece – and it's a place that deserves your attention (even more so in the wake of the recent earthquake, where local economies survive on tourism).

We are working with two truly stunning properties, perfect for special occasions or as romantic hideaways. We certainly fell in love with them. You will too.

Helena Bay Lodge

In the northeast corner of New Zealand’s North Island lies Helena Bay. It came second in National Geographic's list of The World’s Top Rated Islands, Coastlines and Beaches.

Helena Bay Lodge hosts a maximum of five couples.

Accommodation is a choice of two 1,450 square-foot Villa Suites, or three Junior Suites.

The Villa Suites have exquisite sea views and full air conditioning. Each has a separate living room; these can be interconnected to accommodate a party of four travelling together.

Helena Bay Lodge

The rooms all feature:

  • real log burning, gas-ignited fireplaces

  • super king beds

  • in-house complimentary movies channel

  • minibar facilities equipped with a microwave and Nespresso Coffee machine

  • personal safes

  • waterfront balconies

There are hand-made linens from Europe, hypoallergenic pillows and duvets, and plenty of tiny finishing touches to ensure that every element of the experience at Helena Bay exudes sophistication and luxury.

Guest facilities are generous and include a gym, sauna, massage room, a 25-metre heated swimming pool, library, lounge areas, both informal and formal dining areas and an outdoor fire pit.

Helena Bay opened in November 2016. Contact us for more details.

Annandale Coastal Farm Escape & Villa Collection

Annandale is located on Banks Peninsula, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Pigeon Bay on the South Island.

A working sheep and cattle coastal farm, it whisks you away from the everyday world. Discover this captivating place with its four private and secluded luxury villas.

While it offers every luxury and comfort on the inside, it is what’s on the outside that really sets this place apart. The waters are perfect for kayaking and nature cruises. You can also refine your culinary skills in a private cooking class, enjoy a spa in your own villa, or simply hike or bike across the landscape.

There is a wide choice of accommodation from the intimate to the grand.

The Homestead, Annandale

The Homestead was built in the 1880s and has been lovingly restored to create a luxurious five-bedroom home in a private and tranquil setting. It features a heated swimming pool and spa pool, floodlit tennis court, gym, gardens, deck with bbq, wireless internet access, digital television, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, laundry facilities, five ensuite bathrooms and access to a private helipad.

For couples, think Seascape: a picturesque 1-bedroom private bay making for a truly romantic experience. Luxury and modern comforts combine with deep natural beauty. Features include an outdoor lounge with a fireplace and spa pool, private bay ocean views, wireless internet access, digital television, fully equipped kitchen, indoor heated floors and access to a private helipad.

The garden and farm-to-table cuisine is another hallmark. You have options of a private chef taking care of everything or bespoke meals delivered directly to your villa.

From sunrise to sunset, a private retreat at Annandale is authentic and unforgettable.
