First Look: Alavya, Turkey

Once upon a time, there was a local open air cinema set in a beautiful orchard…

In 2013 it was transformed into a unique hotel, Alavya, in the heart of Alacati.

Located on the western coast of Izmir Province in Turkey, Alacati is famous for its architecture, vineyards and windmills and only a 45 minute drive from the International Adnan Menderes Airport.

Alavya boasts six houses with 25 rooms, looking out to windmills, delightful gardens and a beautiful courtyard. Each house tells its own story and has its own style.

Breakfast is served wherever you want, whenever you want with a choice of regional delights including fruits, out-the-oven baked bread, local farm honey and delicious homemade jams.

Cafe, bar, bistro and perfect meeting place: MITU is the place to taste mouth-watering seasonal flavours, fine local wines and spirits.

The intimate atmosphere of the courtyard creates a magical party setting. For special occasions Chef Huseyin Pancar and his team will mix their flavour with your personal choice to make a special evening one to remember.

The hotel is also home to a therapeutic retreat designed to refresh the mind, body and soul. Relax, unwind and spoil yourself in a peaceful atmosphere with a soothing massage and session at the sauna and steam room.

At Alavya you can start the day with yoga, a bike ride or taking in scenery and the untouched natural beauty.

Alacati is a heaven for surf lovers and has now made its name in the world of windsurfing and kitesurfing, with its crystal clear water, steady wind and well acclaimed hospitality. Every year between 8,000 and 10,000 windsurfers flock to the waters to participate in a variety of competitions.

Whatever the season, whenever you visit Alavya, the team will be waiting to provide you with the best possible service. Rest assured that each time you fall under its happy spell, you will be welcomed with the same excitement as before.
