Good Days

Why Australia has a holiday to suit whatever your heart desires

With its ancient Aboriginal culture, a spectacular natural world, the vast Outback, vibrantly diverse cities, laid-back coastal living, superb food and top wines, a trip to Australia is more than just a holiday – it’s an experience to be savoured. So, what are you waiting for? Come and say G’day!

Fringed by dazzling blue sea, Australia’s coastline is hard to beat. Experience

Aussie beach culture by sinking your toes into the sand, playing in the waves, and digging into a barbie! Explore buzzing cities like Sydney with its iconic attractions, Adelaide with its thriving culture and foodie scene, Brisbane’s laid-back lifestyle, and Perth with its celebrated beaches – each offering unmissable experiences.

Australians love to eat, so unique food experiences are always popping up – from sustainable menus, delicious cocktails and succulent seafood to award-winning restaurants and native ingredients. Australia’s wine scene is also diverse and exciting, with numerous wineries dotted throughout the land. There’s something rather special about cracking open a cold beer on a blistering hot day while sitting on the veranda of a local pub – the Aussies would probably say that it’s about as close to heaven as you can get.

Let’s not forget about the Australian Outback. Dotted with extraordinary natural landforms, this is a place of glowing red sunsets, rich ochre soil, deep black night skies, treeless plains, empty tracks, unique wildlife, and larger-than-life characters. The Indigenous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are part of the world’s oldest continuous culture, and they love to share their knowledge and stories.

Australia has several international gateways, with Sydney and Melbourne being the busiest. Currently, the only direct flight from the UK is to Perth with a flight time of approximately 16¾ hours. Flights to other cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Darwin typically involve one stopover, with popular options including Dubai, Doha, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Journey times to these destinations generally range from 21 to 25 hours, depending on the route and stopover duration.
