Client Blog: Seville/Granada

Many thanks to Abbott’s Travel for their help in organising our trip to Seville and Granada in May. We arrived during Jacaranda season - these purple flowering trees are spectacular in May.

Abbotts had booked us a very central hotel - spotlessly clean accommodation and in the perfect location - so we walked everywhere. The hotel didn’t have a restaurant but that wasn’t a problem as we really enjoyed heading out to eat.

We began our visit with a city-wide bus tour with very informative audio. It was an excellent way to get our bearings and find out all about this wonderful city.

We visited all the sights we could pack in: the Cathedral, Alcazar Palace and gardens, and the Maria Luisa Park with the amazing Plaza de Espana.

It was very hot in the afternoons - so we became Spanish for the week and enjoyed siestas! In the evenings we dined out in many different tapas bars and restaurants - the Santa Cruz district was good for this. We had great fun one night when Real Madrid played Osasuna in Seville - the City was buzzing.

We went to Granada on the train for one night to see the UNESCO world heritage site - the Alhambra. Abbotts Travel had booked us an English-speaking guided tour and the visit was wonderful. While the train journey was three hours there, it was well worth it. Our hotel was right beside the Alhambra with a good restaurant.

Overall we had a wonderful time - many thanks again Abbotts Travel for all your help!
